Motor vehicle travel is the primary means of transportation in the United States, proving an unprecedented degree of mobility. Yet for all its advantages, deaths and injuries resulting from motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for persons of every age from 6 to 27 years old (based on 1994 data). Traffic fatalities account for more than 90 percent of transportation-related fatalities. In 1997, 41,967 people were killed in the estimated 6.8 million police-reported motor vehicle traffic crashes, nearly 3.4 million people were injured. At this rate 1997, one person died every 13 minutes twenty-four hours a day for 365 days. That would be equivalent to a 747 jumbo jet carrying the maximum number of passengers crashing every single day with no survivors. Although motor vehicle related crashes are caused by various circumstances, by far the leading cause (roughly 83%) is due to a human error. Human errors are an unfortunate by-product of poor or insufficient training. A well trained driver has a greater understanding and appreciation for his/her ability to respond to the traffic conditions. Moreover, a skillful driver is always conscious of the vehicle’s physical limits.

1. Smooth and Accurate Control of Speed & Steering

Mastery of speed and steering control, creates synergy between you and your vehicle. Apex Driving School can help you get there through an ingenious step by step program that systematically dissects virtually every aspect of every driving technique. Driving techniques, i.e., changing lanes, parallel parking, turnabouts, freeways, cornering etc., can be performed consistently well by following easy to learn wheel patterns and specific reference points on and around the vehicle. If you are somewhat accomplished in certain areas, the step by step program can be used to help you in those areas where you still lack confidence.

2. Understanding & Adherence to the Rules of the Road

The San Francisco Bay Area is world renown for its culturally diversity. And as any world visitor would attest, the Bay Area's traffic patterns are also one of the most diverse and complex systems anywhere. Assuming that's true (and you'll find few arguments to the contrary) we believe it is truly a blessing in disguise.
